I wanna write about my days in May, 2011 to my diary

Dear Diary,

I left my current job from SSPEC Consultants Pte., Ltd since 29th April, 2011 and cancelled my employment pass on that date.

Firstly, I joined as position of web developer/Assist Tech Lead for five months and promoted for working on the position of a system analyst. Then, I handled all the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position successfully. Nothing problem with this company and everybody. Sometimes, I supposed it as my 2nd home. Because I did attache with my project manager and my colleagues there. I am pleased to say "Thanks a lot" for letting me work there over 2 and half years as senior web developer/ system analyst. While I worked there, my developing languages are ASP .Net(C#, VB), PHP and Objective-C. As system analyst, I am involved many phases of SDLC by utilizing my skills and experience based on not only CMS and E-commerce Domain knowledge but also knowledge in Search Engine Optimization, Web Analytic and so on.
I am willing to learn and pick up new skills and already have got experience working on different languages and platforms. I have already planned of learning Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems utilizing SAP solutions.

Since I working there long time already, I want to seek for better career advancement opportunities by utilizing all my skills and knowledge, and also exposure with new challenging.

I have also confident to get an opportunity for that.

So, I am hunting new job with my expectation.

During these days, I was very busying with developing one web site for Nyaung Kan Aye Dharma Society as volunteer web developer. Going down for interviews, applying advertised job vacancies, other spare times developing and customizing that web site.

Cheers! #Encouraging by my self.#

I can launch that web site on 2nd week of April as soft launch and 12th May with completed live launching. On 20th May, it is orientation day for my may-intake master degree. And, finally I also got job offer which I top most preferred as full time/permanent and apply my employment pass application on 27th May. Everything is well done. Good Job, Melody!

I am pleased to invite for visiting Nyaung Kan Aye Dharma Society site and about Master of Business(Enterprise Resource Planning Systems).

Once I got approval(hopefully 1st or 2nd June), I will be daily routine of life as usual.

But sometimes, praying and praying step by step and struggling a lot is my life style in Singapore.

Dear Friends,

All the best you all too.

with luvs,

Melody

Happy New Year and sharing about our traditional burmese calendar

First of All, Happy New Year and wish all are the best to my blog's visitors.

Once we step in every new year, we remember to get new calendar.
Before new year, some of friends asking me where they can get our traditional burmese calendar.
Because some of our Myanmar people need to know which days are Auspicious days for doing some events like Novie/Monk hood ceremonies, Building Houses and lakes, moving out/into New homes and buildings, wedding reception, and so on.

Myanmar Calendar consists of 12 months such as

Myanmar Months Months
Tagu (March - April)
Kason (April - May)
Nayone (May - June)
Waso (June - July)
Wakhaung (July - August)
Tawthalin (August - September)
Thadingyut (September - October)
Tazaungmone (October - November)
Nattaw (November - December)
Pyartho (December - January)
Dapodwe (January - February)
Tabaung (February - March)

Since The traditional Burmese calendar is a lunisolar calendar based on both the phases of the moon and the motion of the sun., the months of the English Calendar and the Myanmar Calendar will differ in months.

Burmese folktales are my favorite stories in my childhood

I got one mail from Sweden and she is a professional storyteller looking for Burmese folktales.
December , she is going to visit Burma as a tourist and observer and then, she want to ask me if I know how to get in touch with someone who can tell her some folktales?

Regarding with above enquiry, I just replied as below:
"If you can get burmese folktales book in English, is it ok? Or do you want to get in touch only someone who can tell you some folktales? Please contact one of guide from SM Tours, who is Mr. Aung Mya. (check this: www.smmyanmar.com for office phone no.) "

'Once upon a time...' is one of the most guaranteed attention-getting phrases of the English language and in Myanmar, 'ဟိုး...ေရွးေရွးတုန္းက' is one of the most I like to listen it before I go to bed in my childhood.

Everyone loves a story!

I also love stories not only Burmese folktales but also Chinese and Japanese traditional tale.

In fact, I have been to post some Burmese folktales here:

Avoidance of double taxation from Singapore & Myanmar Government

Subject: Fwd: Avoidance of double taxation from Singapore & Myanmar Government
To:

Dear all friends,
Please click below link and click on Myanmar Flag on the webpage to see the agreement between Myanmar Government & Singapore Government for avoidance of double taxation.
According to this agreement, we are not suppose to pay income tax at embassy as long as we stay and work in Singapore for more than 183 days (6-month).
It is same as other nationalities ie; Philippine, Indian, Malaysian, Japan, Korea etc... who do not need to pay income tax to their government as they pay tax here.
This agreement is effect from since 1 April 2001 and Myanmar Government and Embassy is hiding this or do not acknowledge to us and embassy is just collecting $$$$ from us for their own use because they do not require to give our income tax $$$$ to Myanmar Government base on this agreement.
We can say that Embassy is breaking the law by breaking the two government's agreement. We shall sue them in Singapore as they break law and the mutual agreement of Singapore Government.
Shall we claim back our hard-earned $$$$$$$$$$ back? Or we continue donate our $$$ to embassy staff for nothing.
Check it out !!!!!!!! and distribute this information to all Burmese.

Dear  friends,

Thanks to those of you who made loans in this group, we now have raised 25$ helping people make a living by themselves as first step of this team. It's great and we'll continue to work on this, in the true spirit of the Myanmar Lending Team.

Just, as of today (July 17th), we have 9 Kiva team members but only 1 loan. So if you registered to this group and never made a loan, please do it. It's only 25$ and you will get this money back later, by that time, you will have helped someone in need.

Nothing in vain, you can help someone/ Myanmar People as future step.

Thanks again,
